OUR SHOPS
We depend on your wonderful donations to fund our CancerRehab program. We sell them and make our money from them.
Your generosity means the world to those coping with pants area cancers.
Please know we can ban people – no one has the right to enter our shops if their behaviour causes our staff problems.
We are a non-smoking area and that includes all parking land and the shops which we have to pay for. Cigarettes and vapes are all prohibited. We promote good health at Pants.
We welcome donations that are in a ‘saleable’ condition. If you think it should be taken to the dump, then please don’t dump it on us. It costs us money to dispose of unsaleable items which pulls away vital funds that are needed for our CancerRehab programme. We would also ask that you only donate within our opening hours. Items left outside our units are vulnerable to the elements and theft.
We have CCTV covering all units and outside. If you steal or fly tip, or trespass on the land we rent which is private land, we will know and I will shame the people involved by putting footage on our Facebook Page. It is the only redress open to us as the police are too busy!
All the people who rent the 6 Units at Ponsharden TR11 2SG pay to rent the units and the land. It is not a public space.
Despite slow down signs, people still drive so fast coming to us and therefore you must keep your children close to you. Do not let them ride around on children’s toys outside the units where you cannot see what they are doing, and nor can drivers.
Do not enter the land behind the parking. It is not safe for you to do so.
If you have expensive items to donate, please ensure that the Manager or other senior person receives them so they can be valued.
Please note we are a Disability Confident organisation and some of our staff struggle. Please make allowances for them, do not beat prices down with vulnerable people, and please note that our idea of rudeness is often down to them being overwhelmed.
If you have any concerns about the service you receive, please email me at rusalka31@aol.com.
If any of you would care to offer a day volunteering, we would be so grateful and you would understand the pressure staff face including dreadful rudeness, constantly trying to get things cheaper, not clearing up after themselves and stealing which really gets to staff who cannot understand how people steal from a charity.
