Course Overview

In this six week course we will take a gentle journey together into the wonderful world of yoga and mindfulness. We will explore a range of breathing techniques, physical postures (asanas) and mindfulness practises. The class will have a gentle pace with a focus on finding what feels good in your own body. Its suitable for any level of yoga experience – if youve never tried yoga before, this is a great intro!

The course content has been designed specifically to support adults impacted by cancer and is suitable for those currently living with cancer or in recovery.  The classes will progress over the six weeks and the end of the course you will leave with a solid foundation in yoga practises that you can take into your own self practise, should you so choose.

Is this course suitable for me?”

You need to be reasonably mobile and move independently as we will explore both floor and standing postures. You will have all surgical incisions healed and feel that your needs can be addressed in a group setting. Your health care team will have given you the thumbs up for gentle exercise.  After you have confirmed participation I will share a short health assessment form that will help me understand any individual needs.
